Kiawah Heart’s next event of 2025 is The Power of Kindness.. a mindfulness workshop.

Join us for an afternoon of lecture, guided practices, and dialogue around the theme of the power of kindness. We will explore mindfulness practices that help us embody strength and kindness with ourselves and others. Kindness is often thought of as a weak or ineffectual response to conflict. We will, instead, approach kindness as a powerful response that creates a pathway for understanding and integrating polarized perspectives, weaving creative solutions in otherwise intractable situations, and bridging across difference while staying connected to what matters most to us.

Whether your focus is on cultivating kindness toward yourself , family, community , or those who you disagree with, this workshop will offer practical tools for how to embody the transformative power of kindness when it matters most!

Geoff is a leadership and embodiment coach, conflict mediator, and meditation teacher . He leads retreats and workshops about meditation, embodiment , conflict, and mindful communication around the country. Geoff has taught classes and workshops at the University of Virginia for the past eight years. He has spent the last 15 years training in adult development, conflict transformation, interpersonal neurobiology , somatically-oriented trauma resolution, and the science of resilience.

Geoff grew up vacationing on Kiawah and still returns regularly to visit his mother who lives here full-time.
