Kiawah Heart’s Wellness Approach
To Improve your health and wellbeing. We gather a lot of our principles from lifestyle and integrative medicine and present them to you in easy-to-implement ways.
-
Discover lifestyle medicine, where vibrant living is achieved through exercise, nutritious eating, and laughter. Scientific evidence shows that daily habits significantly impact health and quality of life. Focusing on lifestyle causes of disease, lifestyle medicine uses evidence-based behavioral interventions to treat and prevent chronic conditions. It emphasizes natural, science-based treatments across six pillars: whole-food plant-based nutrition, physical activity, stress reduction, toxic substance avoidance, sleep, and healthy relationships.
-
By combining conventional and complementary therapies, integrative medicine addresses physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs. This approach uses medication and psychotherapy alongside acupuncture, massages, and yoga to foster overall well-being and enhance quality of life through evidence-based and complementary practices.
Armed with the right knowledge and experiential insights, we can make the necessary shifts to live longer, happier, and healthier lives.
